The proceeds from the Golf of Good Will, which took place on 15 September at the Panorama Golf Resort in Kácov in cooperation with the Committee of Good Will – Olga Havel Foundation, amount almost 6,000 EUR (150,000 CZK). Radek Hradil, CEO of aeqoom, was the initiator of this tournament, which was originally scheduled for May. Nothing prevented the new date, so we were able to spend.
A total of 50 players took part in the tournament on the 18-hole course. The winner was awarded trophies in the form of hearts from the glassworks in Železný Brod and a number of prizes. However, the main award was the resulting amount, which the participants of the event supported a special therapy for children with cerebral palsy. The resulting amount consisted not only of the entry fee, but also fines for bad but also good play, either for playing a hole over a set number of strokes, or, conversely, better and for shots off the field.
"We thank all the players for their generous support. The amount of 147,300 crowns will help fourteen families to pay for therapy for which the money alone would not be able to get it. At the same time, movement therapy is proven to be very effective for children with cerebral palsy, and therefore very necessary for their further improvement of movement skills," said Monika Granja, director of VDV, when accepting the check.
Dana Němcová from the Board of Directors of the Committee of Goodwill - Olga Havel Foundation, VDV Director Monika Granja, Zdeněk Tůma from the Foundation's Supervisory Board and Radek Hradil on behalf of the general partner - aeqoom - took part in the announcement of the winners.
